In(to)dependence Independent citizens '!=' Independent India

Are we independent? ask it Urself what is INDEPENDENCE?
Do u get an answer from ur conscience? I am not gonna comment about the politicians. I am not gonna comment about the corrupt government. As a tribute to all those who lost their lives for the formation of so called independent India, I wanted to share a few things that were dug into my brain right from my childhood. I am ashamed of my self for writing this blog in a foreign language. I am writing this for my fellow beings who can understand some indian language that I can speak and understand. I am not asking U to stop using English. What I am trying to say is to preserve the charm and beauty of Ur own language. All these cultures and traditions came up to signify the importance of the land U were born. India is a country having rich cultural heritage. It is the best democratic country in the world. Secularistic country where all the people are free to adopt any religion they like. Unity in diversity is the best suited phrase.

The ideology behind introducing reservations into the Indian administration is to provide the basic emenities to the downward caste people. At the time of proposal they might not have thought that this reservation scam would grow this worse. Yes I put it as a SCAM. Reservations are still being adopted by the politicians just to sustain in the political track. When all the citizens are independent and equal before law, they should be given equal opportunity for all the people in this independent India. Are the talented people acquiring what they would have achieved if reservation were not there? The answer is a big "noooo". They will stop the reservations when upper caste becomes down ward caste and vice-versa.

Social Responsbility is what that is needed to make an independent India. When you ask me what can U do to improvise the situation, I ll try to be perfect at whatever I do. A simple and best example is to dispose the waste only in the dust bin, stop spitting on the roads. Its our India and we have to keep it clean. When U are perfect then U can ask some one else (politicians, govt. officials etc).

So atleast on this Independence day try to be perfect. Keep your surroundings clean. No corruption. India is not just a land. India constitutes people, all of us. If we are developed (as a perfect human being) then we can call INDIA as a developed and independent country. An independent country which can sustain within itself, which can manage its own administration, in which people can speak in their own languages, and adopt their own cultures and traditions.

They gave their lives for INDIA, can't U spend some time in creating awareness to bulid a solid nation. Can't U be perfect with atleast what U do? I am not a perfectionist but I am trying to be. I wish U feel the same.

commercial value in the movies

It was d most awaited day for a majority of people in andhra pradesh coz it was d release of MAGADHEERA starring Ram Charan Teja (son of megastar chiranjeevi) and the gorgeous Kajal Agrawal, directed by Sureshot Success director SS Rajamouli and produced by Geeta Arts owner Allu Aravind (after a record breaking collections for his bollywood film Ghajini).
In order to get the tickets we had rushed from BROADCOM india pvt ltd. our PS2 station at 5 PM to the theatre near our home. The sky was cloudy and we had expected some showers. Still out of the extreme curiosity to watch the movie on the first day we stood in the queue. Without any surprise it started raining. It was the time for some of my friends (like Jaffa) to quit concerning their health :P At that point of time I had come to a conclusion that I am not gonna get d ticket. Still with never quit attitude I stood in the showers for around 2 and half hours. We were indulged in a humorous chat with the people around us commenting the authority for not issuing the tickets inspite of the heavy rain. The scheduled time for issuing the tickets was 5.30 PM but rumours spread around that the authority might start issuing the tickets at 8.30 PM (note this point)

At some fine instance around 8.30 PM they started issuing the tickets. People starting struggling and some fellows at the front stood up on the walls infront of the counter and started taking multiple tickets violating the management's rule "one ticket per person". Some were pushing and some started using abusive language. Its quite obvious for such things to happen on the first day in a queue. I was excited to stand in the queue and shouting at the fellows at the front. To my misfortune inspite of being rushed to the counter I could nt get a ticket. And the counter was closed saying that "House Full". And there was a certain disappointment on my face. I came back to the room and found that my clothes are completely wet. Then with a friend's help I managed to watch the epic movie the very next day. :)

A completely contrasting scenario:
11th August 2009
I was listening to a song from a kannada movie and suddenly some thing popped up onto the screen. It was a message from my room mate on IP msgr. The folder named RGV's interview created immense interest on my mind. And then I started watching the whole discussion between a popular news reader SWAPNA (who recently shifted to SAKHI from TV9) and the great RGV. That particular interview had succeeded to create some impact on my mind.

It was a cold evening and I was with my friends at the amaravathi hotel in marthahalli near my house. The time was 8.30PM (now that reminds me of the long queue). We started a heated discussion about the film and its pros and cons and what made RGV to direct such a film. (also about the movies like CONTRACT and KSHANAKSHANAM, my favourite). Some were against his methodologies and some were for as in all the group discussions. I thought it would be a practice for the group discussion at broadcom, an evaluation component scheduled the next day. So I had an argument with my friends. After finding that our plates were empty we had to move out paying the bill.

Then I said lets go to the movie to validate our view points. Its meaning less to discuss without watching the movie. At any cost I wanted to watch the movie. And there is a friend of mine AJAY who accompanied me for the movie. Second show is at 10.00PM and we were there by 9.15 PM. I didnt know what to do. Some how we decided to go for it and took the tickets at 9.30 PM. Then we were indulged in phone calls. I called MOGLI, a good friend of mine. By 9.45 PM we decided to enter the theatre and we went in after a security check. It is being screened at screen 3, Innovative multiplex. I entered the theatre and to my surprise I was the only one in the theatre and then AJAY had entered. I asked him 2 shoot some pictures of mine as if I was standing at the shooting location with all d weird styles I could think of. That loneliness now reminds me of the days when I was alone in the LECTURE THEATRE @ BPGC. (I miss U BITS) It was 10.05 PM and I was pissed off for nothing being displayed on the screen.

All of a sudden the door was opened and there was some anxiety on my face to find some one entering the theatre. But the guy entered was from the management side. He called me "Bhaiya". I had to turn back. "Aaj ka show cancel" I thought there must be some techincal problem. "Koi nahin aaya aap ke siva" he said. I was left spell bound. "Log dar rahe hain...raat hain na!! Aap PUBLIC ENEMIES ya LOVE AAJ KAL ya malayalam movie dekh sakte hain. agar jaana chahte hain tho paise refund...." Then I understood that people fear RGV but not the film.

We said among ourselves..the most popularly uttered word by BITSians WTF!!! And went with the last option of refund.
Its time now to introduce the movie which RGV claims to be a good movie with all the technical values and apt background score..so on and so forth. UTV motion pictures' Ronnie Screwala must have given a thought while producing this movie along with the RGV factory.
The movie named "AGYAAT" starred the tollywood hero NITIN REDDY and RGVs glamour doll Priyanka kothari (she is not a sister of Nisha kothari but herself..changed her name..infact shifted to her original name).

For the first time in my life I cursed myself for not believing the reviews. Though they said there are quite a no. of new faces and the commercial values were completely ignored in contrast to the movie makers percpective. I cannot comment on the movie as I had not watched the movie. But having placed in such an awkward scenario (sent back after buying the tickets) I can now say that commercial values cannot solely play the leading role. People are not idiotic to digest the same formula again and again.

I was disappointed twice in a short span of time. But look at the contrast both the movies had offered. Both were built on commercial values and basically on the name of the director (Be it Rajamouli or RGV they have their own reputation). The former was released in almost every theatre possible breaking all the records. And the latter didnt recieve a response even on hardly the fifth day after the release that too for a second show. You can imagine the scenario for a morning show or matinee. How worse it would be. Its beyond my imagination.

The most unfortunate thing as far as I am concerned is my favourite hero RAVI TEJA's movie ANJANEYULU was not released because of such idiotic movies. :(

RGV said I am not an idiot to take a movie with out any PAIN and a thought in our BRAIN. O.o I really dont understood what he had thought to take up such a venture. He claims that the movie is all about adventure and thrill. I had to make a point that the same feeling I had got after watching the so called successful movie-Director Vamsi's "Gopi gopika godavari" on the first day of its release. Why do directors take such idiotic movies and cover it up saying we had taken commercial values into consideration. Commercial values will not be met if u take a movie that will get a successful A certificate from the censor board.

But still I stand by the point.....................RGV \m/ coz he accepts that he is devoid of any sense.
I cant express my feelings (anguish) after writing such a blog as my first one to start with. Hope I ll improve with my further future endeavors.
